The Council will advise the President, Bangladesh Insurance Association on important matters relating to insurance as and when necessary to protect the interest of the insurance members. The council will make short and long term planning both for the insurance development. Council initiates and reviews its BIA work and performance. Council also makes policy in collaboration with the government especially IDRA about the development of the insurance industry. It advises the government to unethical practices of insurance. It also attracts new members of the council.
