The Non-Life Technical Sub-Committee works to maintain an affable rapport with the other non-life members. This committee draws the specialists who work on taking the risk of car, property, marine, fire, investment, credit, and home, on non-life insurance. It ascertains the technical aspects of Underwriting, premium rating, claims, finance, investment, reinsurance, interest rate and suggests recommendations to the president of BIA. The committee also participates in personal lines and commercial lines, domestic and foreign, through reinsurance. It also applies the principle of member’s judgment with which members must comply and also considers the breach of the rules. The technical Committee also compiles the figures on underwriting, actuary’s assertions, claims, reinsurance, finance and helps in preparing the insurance year book at the year end.
