The Sub-Committee will study common problems of the member companies on reinsurance matters. The Committee will meet from time to time with SadharanBima Corporation to solve the problems and endeavour to obtain best possible retrocession and terms and conditions for reinsurance of the companies from SBC. The Committee will keep in touch with overseas re-insurers to know the latest development in the international reinsurance market. The Committee will explore market for placement of 50% voluntary reinsurance outside SadharanBima Corporation, devise ways and means to develop domestic market capacity and maximize retention within the country. It will suggest what essential steps needed to be taken to form re-insurance pool and or a separate reinsurance organization. The Committee will also prepare necessary statistics on reinsurance.
